Software Engineer
Lead the design and delivery of scalable application and integration solutions across the NSW water sector, leveraging microservices, APIs and cloud platforms to enable digital transformation and data-driven decision making.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect end‑to‑end application and integration solutions that meet business, security and performance requirements.
- Define and enforce standards for microservices, API design, and data integration across the portfolio.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers and operations to ensure seamless delivery and deployment on cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Guide technical teams through design reviews, code quality checks and architectural governance.
- Drive continuous improvement of integration patterns, tooling and documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Domain or Solution Architect in a large enterprise environment.
- Deep knowledge of microservices, API‑first design, and cloud‑native deployment.
- Strong understanding of data integration, event‑driven architecture and data governance.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) are an advantage.
