Seasoned technical leader who will define and drive the architecture for global, secure, and highly‑available infrastructure supporting financial data, cloud‑native services, and traffic routing at massive scale.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define the long‑term technical vision and architecture for data services, cloud platforms, and traffic engineering across the Wallet, Payments & Commerce ecosystem.
- Lead the design of secure, fault‑tolerant systems that store and process financial data with integrity in both public cloud and hybrid environments.
- Architect globally distributed, elastic infrastructure that can scale to billions of requests per day while maintaining low latency and high availability.
- Collaborate with senior engineering leaders to establish best‑in‑class practices for security, observability, and performance across all layers of the stack.
- Mentor senior engineers, influence cross‑team technical decisions, and champion first‑principles problem solving.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience designing and delivering large‑scale, cloud‑native infrastructure for mission‑critical financial or commerce systems.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, traffic routing, and data storage technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Service Mesh, high‑throughput databases).
- Proven track record of building secure, compliant platforms that meet stringent financial regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence senior technical stakeholders and mentor engineering teams.
- Hands‑on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and hybrid deployment models.
