Lead a high‑performing engineering team building scalable payment solutions with Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka, driving architectural excellence and delivery of mission‑critical services at a global payments leader.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and oversee the design, development, and deployment of large‑scale payment services using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of senior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high quality code.
- Collaborate with product, security, and operations to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance of distributed systems.
- Drive technical strategy, evaluate emerging technologies, and implement best practices for microservices and event‑driven architectures.
- Champion DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud‑native deployment.
Requirements
- 15+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
- Proven track record leading large engineering teams in a fast‑paced, high‑availability environment.
- Strong background in designing and scaling microservices and distributed systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
