Director, Software Engineering - Fidelity Investments

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end redesign and modernization of the Operations Workstation platform, defining architecture, technology stack, and delivery roadmap.
• Build and mentor high‑performing engineering teams, fostering agile practices, technical excellence, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Drive adoption of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud‑native patterns to achieve scalability, reliability, and rapid deployment.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and security stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, secure software solutions.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring frameworks to ensure high quality and rapid release cycles.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of leading large, complex development initiatives.
• Deep expertise in Java and C# development, microservices architecture, and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and designing scalable, high‑performance systems.
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale engineering teams, mentor senior engineers, and drive agile delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing cross‑functional leadership.
