About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with AI research teams to provide domain‑specific feedback that improves large language model performance on bioinformatics tasks.
- Design and execute validation experiments that assess model predictions against real‑world drug discovery data.
- Lead the development of computational pipelines for processing genomic, proteomic, and chemical datasets.
- Mentor junior scientists and foster cross‑functional knowledge sharing between bioinformatics and AI groups.
- Publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present results to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
- Proven track record applying machine learning, especially large language models, to biological data.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with data‑analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for scalable model training and data processing.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex scientific concepts for interdisciplinary teams.
