Lead a high‑performing platform engineering team to design, build, and operate scalable cloud‑native services using Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS, driving automation and reliability across the organization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the platform engineering strategy, aligning it with business goals and cloud‑first initiatives.
- Architect, build, and maintain highly available, container‑based services on Kubernetes and AWS.
- Lead the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code practices to accelerate delivery and improve reliability.
- Mentor and grow a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a culture of automation, security, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with product, security, and operations stakeholders to ensure platform compliance, performance, and cost‑effectiveness.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing platform or cloud engineering teams.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud services (AWS preferred), including networking, storage, and security design.
- Proven track record implementing CI/CD, IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar), and monitoring/observability solutions.
- Strong programming skills in Python (or comparable language) and a solid understanding of microservices architecture.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a focus on delivering business value through technology.
