About the Role
Sage is a market leader in cloud business management solutions, supporting millions of small and medium-sized businesses globally with integrated accounting, payroll, and payment systems. We are looking for an outstanding Director of Product Management to define and deliver the next generation of AI-powered financial management products. This hybrid opportunity can be assigned to our Newcastle, Manchester, or London office.
As part of a cross-functional team, including data scientists and ML engineers, you will drive key product decisions, manage customer priorities, lead customer conversations, and launch new features. You will gain deep expertise in our products and use this expertise to deliver customer value, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI-powered financial management products at a leading financial management software company.

Key Accountabilities
- Define and communicate product strategy and roadmap.
- Build strong relationships with all stakeholders, particularly Segment leaders & Segment product managers, service fabric, IT, experience design, product engineering, and customer hub leaders.
- Help teams create, maintain, and communicate product roadmaps.
- Balance competitive advantage, customer need, and pure innovation.
- Write product briefs that clearly articulate customer needs and prioritize details to build a solution.
- Review and prioritize customer feedback and transform it into product strategy.
- Effectively and proactively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Define and analyze metrics to understand feature adoption and guide the development of existing and new features.
- Develop product documentation, product presentations, and other content assets to describe the work.
- Ability to write detailed, technical product specs, and present to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Provide regular feedback and coaching, ensuring colleagues understand the Sage strategy, values, and behaviors and how their goals support this.

Skills, Know-how, and Experience
- Experience leading and influencing, including navigating a matrix environment & cross-functional team experience.
- Track record of successfully launching and managing products.
- Deep knowledge of AI / ML and first-hand experience working with AI / ML-powered technology products.
- Strong experimentation mindset and a data-driven thinker.
- Ability to prioritize effectively, make decisions, and deploy clear and concise communications to all stakeholders.
- Able to influence and inspire a cross-functional team to reach ambitious goals.
- Ability to execute in an intense, fast-paced, and highly iterative environment.
- Experience and advocacy of agile/lean product management principles.
- Experience running product governance, covering dependencies, risks & change management.
