About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for a cloud‑native, open‑source workflow orchestration platform focused on AI integration.
- Build and mentor a distributed engineering team across Europe and the US, promoting best practices in code quality, testing, and continuous delivery.
- Architect scalable, fault‑tolerant services on AWS/GCP, ensuring high availability and performance for millions of workflow executions.
- Collaborate with product, community, and partner teams to prioritize features, manage backlogs, and deliver value to a 650,000+ developer ecosystem.
- Champion open‑source principles, driving community contributions, documentation, and ecosystem growth.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record building and scaling distributed, cloud‑native systems (AWS or GCP).
- Deep understanding of workflow orchestration, AI/ML pipelines, and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and observability at scale.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for open‑source community building.
