Engineering Manager
Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team to design, develop, and deliver advanced defense systems, overseeing architecture, integration, and technical risk while ensuring compliance with security and program requirements.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and mentor a large engineering organization, setting technical vision and strategy for complex defense platforms.
- Own system architecture, integration, and verification activities across hardware, software, and firmware domains.
- Manage program schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans while coordinating with stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
- Drive adoption of Agile and model‑based development practices to improve delivery speed and quality.
- Ensure compliance with security requirements, maintain Secret clearance protocols, and support travel for customer and site engagements.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience in aerospace, defense, or related high‑technology sectors.
- Proven expertise in systems engineering, C++ development, and integration of large‑scale, mission‑critical systems.
- Strong program management background with demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and cross‑functional teams.
- Experience with Agile/Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
