The Opportunity
The Director of Case Law AI-Driven Content is responsible for defining and leading the editorial and subject matter expert teams responsible for delivering AI-enabled case law content initiatives that support LexisNexis’s evolving research and AI product strategy. The Director of Case Law AI-Driven Content will lead AI content initiatives across multiple case law content streams and multiple regions, partnering closely with Product, Technology, Data Science, and Editorial stakeholders to ensure AI-generated and AI-enhanced content is accurate, trusted, and production-ready. This role reports to the Global Head of Cases and Chief of Staff for Global Editorial Operations.
This role is the innovation-focused counterpart to the Director of Performance and Operations, which owns business-as-usual delivery, SLAs, and operational stability. While Performance and Operations focuses on maintaining and optimizing existing workflows, this role is focused on designing, piloting, and scaling new AI-driven case law content capabilities.
Core Responsibilities
Lead the teams that execute on the strategy for AI-generated and AI-enhanced case law content, aligned to product priorities and customer needs.
Develop and maintain roadmaps for AI case law initiatives, from proof-of-concept through production deployment.
Identify and prioritize opportunities for AI across the case law lifecycle, including collection, conversion, enrichment, summarization, classification, linking, and update workflows.
Partner with Product and Technology teams to ensure AI content capabilities support Lexis+ AI and related research experiences.
Provide direction and oversight for AI-driven case law content initiatives across assigned jurisdictions and content streams.
Ensure AI-generated content meets LexisNexis standards for legal accuracy, editorial quality, consistency, and trust.
Define and apply governance frameworks for AI content, including human-in-the-loop review, version control, auditability, and risk mitigation.
Work closely with the Director of Performance and Operations to transition mature AI solutions into BAU workflows when appropriate.
Engage and present to senior leaders regularly to confirm strategic alignment, surface risks, and celebrate wins.
Support the development of AI skills and editorial best practices across content teams in partnership with regional and functional leaders.
Promote responsible AI adoption, experimentation, and continuous improvement within editorial workflows.
Act as the primary editorial point of contact for AI-related case law initiatives with Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, and UX teams.
Translate editorial and legal requirements into clear AI content specifications, evaluation criteria, and success measures.
