Software Engineer
Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced navigation and mapping solutions, driving integration across platforms and ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability using GIS and modern API technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and oversee end‑to‑end navigation integration solutions, ensuring seamless connectivity between mapping services, vehicle systems, and mobile applications.
- Lead a cross‑functional team of developers, QA, and data engineers to deliver high‑quality, scalable code and robust APIs.
- Collaborate with product, UX, and data science teams to define feature requirements, prioritize roadmaps, and translate business goals into technical specifications.
- Implement best practices for performance, security, and maintainability, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment strategies.
- Monitor system health, analyze telemetry, and drive continuous improvement of navigation accuracy and user experience.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on navigation, mapping, or location‑based services.
- Proven leadership in managing large, distributed engineering teams and delivering complex integration projects on time.
- Deep knowledge of GIS concepts, mapping APIs (e.g., Google Maps, Mapbox, HERE), and spatial data processing.
- Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized deployment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
