About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of a multi‑year digital strategy for BMO Insurance, aligning core platforms, data, AI, and distribution initiatives with business objectives.
- Manage a portfolio of modernization investments, prioritizing projects based on ROI, risk, and strategic fit, and ensuring fiscal discipline across the program.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define architecture standards, governance frameworks, and operating models that support scalable, cloud‑native solutions.
- Drive stakeholder engagement, communicating progress, risks, and value realization to executive leadership and business partners.
- Champion Agile delivery practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and rapid value delivery.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in insurance technology transformation, with a proven track record of leading large‑scale digital initiatives.
- Deep understanding of insurance products, underwriting, claims, and distribution channels.
- Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS preferred), data architecture, and AI/ML integration.
- Excellent portfolio and project management skills, with experience in financial planning and investment prioritization.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of influencing senior executives.
