About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise data, privacy, and AI governance strategy for the insurance business.
- Act as the first line of defense for data, privacy, and AI risks, ensuring regulatory compliance and robust risk mitigation.
- Partner with senior business leaders, enterprise functions, and external regulators to embed responsible data and AI use into digital transformation initiatives.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and monitor governance frameworks, policies, and controls.
- Drive innovation and value realization through data‑centric and AI‑enabled solutions while maintaining ethical standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data management, privacy, or AI governance within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Proven track record of leading large, complex governance programs and managing regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, NAIC).
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and ability to translate them into actionable policies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience influencing senior executives.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, CIPP, AI Ethics) and a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline; advanced degree preferred.
