Software Engineer
Lead a high‑impact data transfer team, designing and optimizing end‑to‑end ETL pipelines across global banking systems using SQL, Python and AWS services to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient data movement.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and oversee large‑scale data transfer workflows between core banking, analytics, and regulatory systems.
- Drive performance tuning, error handling, and automation of ETL processes using Python, SQL and AWS Glue.
- Collaborate with data governance, security and compliance teams to enforce data quality, lineage and auditability.
- Mentor and grow a cross‑functional team of data engineers and analysts.
- Lead incident response and root‑cause analysis for data transfer failures.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in designing scalable ETL pipelines on AWS (Glue, S3, Redshift).
- Strong command of SQL, Python, and data modeling best practices.
- Deep understanding of data governance, security, and regulatory requirements in finance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
