Data Scientist
Leads the Advanced Analytics team to design and deliver enterprise‑wide data science solutions, leveraging Python, machine learning, and cloud platforms to drive strategic insights for group benefits products.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the data science strategy for the organization, aligning projects with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable machine‑learning models and advanced analytics pipelines using Python, SQL, and AWS services.
- Collaborate with product, underwriting, and actuarial teams to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations.
- Oversee data governance, model validation, and performance monitoring to ensure accuracy, fairness, and compliance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred) for building production‑grade models.
- Strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to senior business stakeholders and drive data‑driven decision making.
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
