Software Engineer
Leads aircraft systems engineering across design, analysis, integration, and testing, driving technical strategy and delivering certification‑ready solutions using advanced simulation tools and cross‑functional leadership.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for aircraft systems, overseeing design, analysis, integration, and test activities throughout the development lifecycle.
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, coordinating with structural, propulsion, avionics, and certification groups to ensure system requirements are met.
- Direct the use of simulation and analysis tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and ANSYS to validate performance, safety, and compliance.
- Manage prototype flight testing, data collection, and validation efforts, translating results into design improvements and certification documentation.
- Establish and enforce engineering processes, standards, and best practices to maintain high quality and schedule adherence.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison with customers and regulatory authorities, presenting system status, risk assessments, and certification strategies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of aerospace systems engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, ANSYS, and C++ for system modeling and analysis.
- Demonstrated success managing complex aircraft development programs through design, test, and certification phases.
- Strong knowledge of FAA/EASA certification processes and airworthiness standards.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team‑building skills.
