About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive AI security strategy aligned with organizational mission and global humanitarian priorities.
- Lead threat modeling, risk assessment, and secure design practices for AI/ML systems across multiple projects.
- Establish governance frameworks, policies, and compliance standards for AI data privacy, model explainability, and ethical use.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to embed security controls into the AI development lifecycle.
- Monitor emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory changes; provide actionable guidance to mitigate risks.
- Represent the organization in external forums, partnerships, and advisory boards on AI security and ethics.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, cybersecurity, or related fields, with a proven track record in security leadership.
- Deep expertise in threat modeling, secure AI design, data privacy, and cloud security (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong understanding of AI governance, explainability, and ethical frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in fast‑paced, mission‑driven environments is a plus.
