The Director AI & Data Science will lead the design, build, and delivery of AI and data science solutions, managing a high-performing team and owning the AI infrastructure. This role involves developing ML Ops and LLM Ops pipelines, designing data strategies, and collaborating with stakeholders and vendors to drive AI innovation within the company.
About the role
Key Accountabilities:
Designing, build, deploy, integrate and own du AI infrastructure and environment.
Lead the design, build and delivery of AI and data science innovation and solutions.
Develop and maintain the ML Ops and LLM Ops pipelines and integrate with DevSec Ops.
Manage Data science professions e.g. AI architects, data scientists, Data engineers etc.
Designing a data strategy, including setting the strategic direction for the data science team.
Assess, engage and manage AI 3rd party vendors in overall solutions design in collaboration with IT.
Collaborate with business peers and stakeholders to initiate and design AI solutions.
Serve as a thought leader in AI and data science, staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies.
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of AI and data science professionals.
Qualifications:
Advance degree (Masters/PhD) in Data science, Computer Science, Statistics Mathematics or Engineering.
Preferably: Track record of continuous learning across big data, analytics, data science, ML, Generative AI and digital transformation.
Experience:
10 years’ experience working in BI, CVM, Big data and or AI functions.
3+ years of experience managed teams of AI and Data science professions of 5+ FTE.
Experience setting up big data and AI Innovation environments incl. data infrastructure, software, hardware.
Proven expertise in designing, developing, and deploying AI and big data solutions in the areas of machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI, with a strong track record of delivering AI models as a service.
Experience managing relationship and working with external vendors ideally AI solution providers and hyperscale's.
