Lead the operation and analytics of Advanced Metering Infrastructure, overseeing system reliability, data integration, and strategic initiatives using SQL, Python, and cloud platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Direct day‑to‑day operations of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) network, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Develop and execute analytics strategies to transform meter data into actionable insights for grid optimization.
- Lead cross‑functional teams in the design, implementation, and maintenance of SCADA, communication, and data acquisition systems.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and capital projects related to AMI hardware, software, and cloud services.
- Establish and enforce standards for data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor technical staff, promote continuous learning, and drive innovation across the operations portfolio.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in utility‑scale AMI operations, power systems, or smart grid technologies.
- Proven expertise in data analytics tools (SQL, Python) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for large‑scale meter data processing.
- Strong project and program management skills with a track record of delivering complex, multi‑disciplinary initiatives on time and budget.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
