Software Engineer
Lead engineering and security for a large hotel complex, overseeing HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems while driving preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and energy‑efficiency initiatives.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across the hotel and mixed‑use facilities.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Lead capital‑project planning, budgeting, and execution for system upgrades, renovations, and energy‑efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety, building, and environmental regulations.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements to guarantee high‑quality, cost‑effective support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in hotel or large‑scale commercial facilities engineering, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Proven track record in preventive maintenance program design and execution.
- Strong project management skills with experience overseeing multi‑million‑dollar capital projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on safety and sustainability.
