Software Engineer
Lead the delivery of digital transformation initiatives, overseeing agile projects, cloud migrations, data governance and change management to improve public services and drive innovation within a local authority.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and deliver multi‑disciplinary digital transformation programmes using Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Oversee cloud migration and platform integration projects, leveraging AWS or Azure services to modernise infrastructure.
- Implement data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with information management standards.
- Drive change management activities, including communication, training and adoption support for new digital services.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading large‑scale digital transformation or IT delivery programmes, preferably in the public sector.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/ Scrum practices and ITIL service management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and influence senior decision‑makers.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and data governance concepts.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving and leadership skills.
