Software Engineer
The Digital Prepress Specialist ensures customer artwork is accurately evaluated, preflighted, and proofed for print readiness, using Adobe Acrobat, color management tools, and RIP software to deliver flawless production files.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate incoming artwork files for completeness, resolution, and compliance with print specifications.
- Perform PDF preflight checks, correct errors, and ensure adherence to PDF/X standards.
- Create imposition layouts and generate accurate proofs for client approval.
- Manage color workflows, including spot color conversion, CMYK profiling, and proofing consistency.
- Operate and maintain RIP software to generate high‑quality print files and troubleshoot job issues.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve technical issues and optimize workflow efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Adobe Acrobat and PDF preflight tools.
- Strong knowledge of imposition techniques and color management principles.
- Hands‑on experience with RIP software and print production workflows.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination.
