Software Engineer
Digital Development Engineer designing and building scalable software platforms and APIs to power CVS Health’s digital health initiatives, leveraging Java, Python, JavaScript and AWS cloud services with a focus on robust DevOps practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance Java and Python microservices that support CVS Health’s digital health platforms.
- Build and expose RESTful APIs, ensuring secure, scalable, and well‑documented interfaces for internal and external consumers.
- Collaborate with product, UX, and data teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and user‑centric features.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring using AWS services (ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch) and DevOps tools.
- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and continuous improvement of application architecture.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software development experience in Java and Python.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design, JSON, and API security best practices.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services and container orchestration (ECS/EKS).
- Proficiency in JavaScript (Node.js) and front‑end frameworks is a plus.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, and a commitment to quality and security.
