DevSecOps Engineer focused on building secure, automated AWS infrastructure for healthcare analytics, driving IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and security best practices to enable resilient cloud-native applications.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure using services such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, and S3, ensuring high availability and compliance with federal health IT standards.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform) to automate provisioning and configuration of secure environments.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that integrate security scanning, code quality checks, and automated testing to accelerate secure application delivery.
- Implement and monitor security controls, vulnerability management, and incident response workflows across cloud resources.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to embed DevSecOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience with AWS services and architecture design for healthcare or data analytics applications.
- Strong proficiency in IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Hands‑on knowledge of security best practices, compliance frameworks (HIPAA, FISMA), and automated security tooling.
- Excellent scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation and tooling.
- Effective communication skills and ability to mentor junior engineers on secure cloud practices.
