Security Engineer
DevSecOps Engineer building secure, scalable infrastructure for a next‑generation Air Force aircraft maintenance platform using Kubernetes, Docker, Google Cloud, and Apigee.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines that automate build, test, and deployment processes for cloud-native applications.
- Architect and manage Kubernetes clusters, Docker containers, and Google Cloud resources to ensure high availability, scalability, and compliance with DoD security standards.
- Integrate Apigee API management to expose and secure platform services, enforce rate limiting, and monitor API usage.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager, ensuring repeatable, auditable deployments.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to embed security controls early in the development lifecycle and conduct regular vulnerability assessments.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
- Strong background in CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Spinnaker) and IaC practices.
- Hands‑on knowledge of API management with Apigee and secure API design.
- Familiarity with DoD or other high‑compliance security frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.
