Security Engineer
Lead the design, implementation, and automation of secure DevOps pipelines, driving cloud-native solutions with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Python while ensuring continuous security integration across the development lifecycle.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines that embed security controls from code commit to production.
- Lead the migration of legacy applications to cloud‑native platforms using Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform).
- Implement automated security testing (static analysis, container scanning, secret detection) and integrate results into the delivery workflow.
- Collaborate with software engineering, QA, and security teams to define standards, best practices, and governance for secure development.
- Mentor and guide a cross‑functional team of engineers, fostering a DevSecOps culture and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in DevSecOps or related roles, with proven leadership of development teams.
- Strong expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and scripting languages, especially Python.
- Deep knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes), containerization (Docker), and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience securing cloud environments (AWS) and implementing automated security testing tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
