Software Engineer
Volunteer DevOps role focused on integrating a .NET backend in Azure with a front‑end content platform, enhancing the Frontline.live website for NHS and care home workers. Requires Azure, .NET, GitHub, and open‑source collaboration skills.
Frontline needs a DevOps person with experience in .NET to help integrate our back end platform built in an Azure environment with our front end content section. Our platform is being built by volunteers to help frontline workers get the protective equipment they need to keep them safe.
In this volunteer role, you will collaborate with our small but excellent development team to improve the functionality of the Frontline.live website, empowering the voices of our NHS and care home workers.
Frontline.Live has recently gained official charity status, and for now is entirely staffed by volunteers. This volunteer position is entirely mouldable to your own living and working situation, and we'd love to hear from you, and how this might work for you.
Frontline.Live harnesses the power of live, open data, to connect people in crisis with the resources they need. Currently, Frontline.Live is working hard to connect UK frontline healthcare workers with the PPE they lack, to aid in the Covid-19 crisis.
By collecting, visualising and analysing data from suppliers & people in need, we show political and procurement bodies a more effective, more efficient and more human way of meeting needs in a time of crisis.
