Devops Engineer
Seasoned DevOps Engineer specializing in middleware automation and cloud‑native architectures, responsible for deploying and managing IBM MQ and DataPower on Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS using GitOps and IaC practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and automate the lifecycle of enterprise middleware (IBM MQ, DataPower) on Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA).
- Drive GitOps workflows to ensure consistent, repeatable deployments across development, test, and production environments.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform, Helm charts, and OpenShift operators.
- Integrate middleware services into CI/CD pipelines, enabling rapid delivery and continuous testing.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply security hardening for cloud‑native middleware components.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on DevOps experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and AWS cloud services.
- Deep knowledge of middleware technologies, specifically IBM MQ and DataPower.
- Proficiency in GitOps practices, IaC tools (Terraform, Helm), and CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python) and familiarity with containerization and service mesh concepts.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a collaborative mindset for working in hybrid, distributed teams.
