DevOps & Platform Engineer - Cloud Focus in BI Environment - HUK-COBURG VVaG

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS for BI workloads, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes, managing cluster lifecycle and monitoring.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or CloudFormation, versioning configurations and ensuring reproducible environments.
• Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to optimize data pipelines, monitor performance, and troubleshoot production incidents.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps or platform engineering roles, preferably in a BI or data analytics context.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, EKS, Lambda, etc.) and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD best practices, automated testing, and release management.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently, and strong communication in German and English.
