Design Engineer II

Design Engineer II at RTX (Raytheon Technologies). We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer II to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing complex systems and products, utilizing expertise in mechanical engineering and computer-aided design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design engineering, with experience in SolidWorks and CATIA. Additionally, the candidate should have knowledge of Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics. The Design Engineer II will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet customer requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex systems and products using mechanical engineering principles and computer-aided design tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet customer requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
• Develop and maintain design documentation, including design specifications, drawings, and bills of materials.
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics to optimize design performance.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve design capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in design engineering, with a focus on mechanical engineering and computer-aided design.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and CATIA, with experience in Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
