Senior deputy role supporting the Technical Operations Lead, overseeing IT infrastructure stability, security, and cloud services while driving project delivery and team performance in a high‑clearance environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Technical Operations Lead in managing day‑to‑day operations of the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Lead incident response and root‑cause analysis for complex infrastructure and security issues.
- Coordinate and deliver infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations, network upgrades, and automation initiatives.
- Mentor and guide a team of engineers, fostering best practices in configuration management, monitoring, and change control.
- Maintain compliance with security standards and high‑level clearance requirements, conducting regular audits and risk assessments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure operations, with hands‑on expertise in Linux and Windows server environments.
- Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing solutions on AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, VPNs, and security monitoring tools.
- Demonstrated ability to automate tasks using Ansible, PowerShell, or similar scripting frameworks.
- Excellent project management and communication skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.
