Lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise data pipelines using IBM DataStage, ensuring high-quality, performant ETL processes across complex data environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize DataStage jobs to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into target systems.
- Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to translate business requirements into robust ETL solutions.
- Implement data quality checks, error handling, and logging to maintain data integrity and traceability.
- Monitor job performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply tuning techniques to improve throughput and reduce latency.
- Document data flows, job logic, and best practices for future maintenance and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with IBM DataStage and related ETL tools.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- Proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python, or similar) for automation and data manipulation.
- Solid understanding of data integration concepts, data warehousing, and performance tuning.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
