Design, build, and maintain high‑availability, high‑performance transactional databases on MySQL and Oracle, ensuring secure data movement and robust architecture for enterprise‑scale applications.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable, highly available MySQL and Oracle database solutions for high‑volume transactional workloads.
- Design and optimize data movement patterns, ensuring efficient replication, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with application engineering, SRE, and security teams to enforce performance, reliability, and compliance standards.
- Conduct performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning to meet SLAs and growth targets.
- Implement and maintain database security controls, including encryption, access management, and audit logging.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and operating MySQL and Oracle databases in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of database architecture, high‑availability clustering, and replication technologies.
- Proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
- Experience with security best practices, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
