About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Oracle Database platforms, ensuring 24/7 availability and performance tuning.
- Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline routine DBA tasks and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to design and enforce reliability and resilience best practices.
- Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and apply patches and upgrades in a controlled manner.
- Enforce security policies, perform vulnerability assessments, and manage access controls.
Requirements
- Proven experience administering Oracle Database environments (12c/19c).
- Strong scripting skills (SQL, PL/SQL, Bash, Python) for automation and monitoring.
- Hands‑on knowledge of SRE principles, incident response, and reliability engineering.
- Solid understanding of database security, backup/recovery, and high‑availability architectures.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
