About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability and performance for federal applications.
- Implement and maintain robust backup, restore, and disaster recovery plans in compliance with government security standards.
- Configure and manage database security, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and audit logging.
- Monitor database health using tools such as SQL Server Management Studio, Performance Monitor, and custom scripts.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and implement database solutions that meet functional and security requirements.
Requirements
- 3+ years DBA experience with SQL Server 2016/2017/2019.
- Strong knowledge of database security, backup/restore, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Windows Server administration and PowerShell scripting.
- Valid security clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
