About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI to support decision‑making for federal clients.
- Translate raw data from relational databases (SQL) and APIs into clear visual narratives, employing D3.js for custom visual components when needed.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and subject‑matter experts to understand requirements, ensure data accuracy, and optimize data pipelines.
- Implement best practices for data visualization, accessibility, and performance, including responsive design for web‑based delivery.
- Provide training, documentation, and support to end‑users, fostering self‑service analytics across the organization.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building dashboards and visual analytics solutions with Tableau or Power BI.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
- Hands‑on experience with JavaScript visualization libraries such as D3.js.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to convey complex information in an intuitive visual format.
- Experience scripting in Python for data preparation, automation, or custom visual logic.
