Software Engineer
Data Specialist responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and reporting solutions to support veterinary and livestock production analytics, leveraging SQL, Python, ETL tools, and cloud services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to ingest and transform animal health data from multiple sources.
- Build and optimize data models and warehouses in cloud environments (e.g., AWS Redshift, Snowflake) to support analytics and reporting.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or similar tools for internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Collaborate with product, research, and operations teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and documentation to ensure accuracy and reliability of datasets.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with SQL and relational databases; strong query optimization skills.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Airflow, Talend, Informatica) and building data pipelines in cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
