Security Engineer
Design, deploy, and configure Zero Trust data security solutions for federal clients, building custom policies and managing hybrid‑cloud environments while collaborating with stakeholders and engineering teams.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement Zero Trust data security solutions for DoD, intelligence community, and civilian federal customers.
- Design, configure, and maintain hybrid‑cloud security controls, ensuring compliance with agency data handling guidelines.
- Develop and enforce custom security policies that provide positive data control across on‑premise and cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with agency personnel, delivery managers, and engineering teams to translate requirements into secure architectures.
- Perform systems administration tasks including installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of security tools.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing, deploying, and configuring data security solutions in federal or highly regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of Zero Trust principles and hybrid‑cloud security architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Hands‑on experience with policy creation, enforcement, and automation for data protection.
- Solid systems administration background, including installation, configuration, and monitoring of security platforms.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
