Expert Data Scientist to design and deploy advanced AI models for defense and aerospace, applying Python, machine learning, deep learning frameworks, and cloud services to deliver secure, high‑accuracy analytics and decision‑support solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, train, and validate machine‑learning and deep‑learning models that meet strict security and accuracy requirements for defense and aerospace applications.
- Transform large, heterogeneous data sets into actionable intelligence through feature engineering, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
- Collaborate with engineering and domain experts to integrate AI solutions into existing defense systems and operational workflows.
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines and model deployment workflows using cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Document model architecture, performance metrics, and validation procedures to support auditability and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or related fields, preferably within defense, aerospace, or high‑security environments.
- Proficiency in Python and its data‑science ecosystem (NumPy, pandas, scikit‑learn) and deep‑learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Strong background in statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
- Hands‑on experience building and deploying models on AWS services (SageMaker, EC2, Lambda) and managing data pipelines with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders, and a track record of delivering production‑ready AI solutions.
