Data Scientist role focused on building predictive models, personalisation engines and data‑driven insights using Python, SQL, machine learning and cloud platforms to drive commercial impact for a large hospitality brand.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy machine‑learning models to optimise marketing spend, forecast demand and increase customer lifetime value.
- Leverage big‑data pipelines and cloud services (AWS) to ingest, clean and transform large‑scale hospitality datasets.
- Collaborate with product, marketing and engineering teams to translate business problems into analytical solutions and actionable insights.
- Build interactive dashboards and visualisations to communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
- Monitor model performance in production, implement A/B tests and iterate to improve accuracy and business impact.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Hands‑on experience with machine‑learning algorithms, model evaluation, and deployment in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
- Solid understanding of big‑data technologies (e.g., Spark, Redshift, Snowflake) and data‑engineering concepts.
- Ability to create clear, compelling visualisations and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with a track record of turning complex data into actionable business recommendations.
