Data Scientist role supporting DHS programs, collaborating with analysts across GEOINT, SIGINT, forensic accounting and cryptocurrency domains to build AI-driven analytics and security solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement machine‑learning models to analyze multi‑source intelligence data for threat detection and risk assessment.
- Develop data pipelines and visual analytics dashboards that integrate GEOINT, SIGINT, financial, and cryptocurrency datasets.
- Collaborate with all‑source analysts, forensic accountants, and subject‑matter experts to translate domain knowledge into actionable data products.
- Deploy and scale analytics solutions on cloud platforms, ensuring compliance with security and data‑handling policies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists and analysts within the fusion cell.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with machine‑learning libraries (e.g., scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Demonstrated expertise in statistical modeling, data mining, and building predictive analytics.
- Experience creating interactive visualizations and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Plotly).
- Hands‑on experience with cloud services such as AWS for data processing and model deployment.
