Purpose
This full-time position provides professional statistical support to students and faculty in the School of Nursing.
Responsibilities
Design, develop and implement applied statistical analyses for complex data sets involving clinical, biological, behavioral, psychometric, and other quantitative variables.
Advise regarding the development of rigorous and reproducible research design and perform sample size and power calculations
Provide guidance regarding the appropriateness and validity of planned statistical methods including identification of potential methodological challenges and limitations and potential solutions for these challenges
Prepare oral, written and graphical reports as appropriate of statistical analysis methods and results and collaborate with students and faculty to create relevant reports for dissertations, manuscripts and grant applications
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science or related field with major coursework in statistics
At least 1 year of collaborative statistical experience, preferably in an academic setting
Proficiency with descriptive and inferential statistical analyses, structural equation modeling, longitudinal analyses, clinical trial data analyses, and preferably, machine learning
Expertise with SPSS or similar software and preferably also with R, Matlab and/or Python
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Salary Range
$70,000+ depending upon qualifications
