Data Scientist
Lead the development of predictive models to detect and mitigate fraud and risk across a high‑volume livestream commerce platform, leveraging Python, ML, and cloud analytics.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy machine learning models that identify fraudulent transactions and assess risk in real time.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data requirements, feature engineering, and model evaluation metrics.
- Maintain and optimize data pipelines using SQL and AWS services to ensure high‑quality, scalable data for analytics.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, anomalies, and insights that inform product and policy decisions.
- Present findings and model performance to stakeholders, translating technical results into actionable business recommendations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data science or analytics with a focus on fraud or risk.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Strong background in supervised learning, anomaly detection, and statistical modeling.
- Experience with large‑scale data processing and model deployment in production environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote, fast‑paced setting.
