Data Scientist driving insights from large datasets using Python, ML, and SQL, building predictive models and visualizations, and deploying solutions on AWS in a hybrid Manchester environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems using Python and SQL.
- Extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Maintain and optimize data pipelines and model performance on AWS infrastructure.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks (scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with AWS services (S3, Redshift, SageMaker).
- Hands‑on experience building dashboards with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate complex findings clearly.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment is a plus.
