OYO is seeking a Data Scientist to join its Pricing function within the Revenue Management group. This role involves developing and maintaining dynamic pricing algorithms, deploying research ideas, and analyzing the performance of pricing strategies for over 3000 hotels in South East Asia.

The Pricing function forms a critical part of the Revenue Management group that is constantly working to deliver the best value to the end customer while maximizing the Revenue for the Hotel Owner. With its portfolio of over 3000 hotels in South East Asia, the Pricing team leverages state of the art data science methodologies to dynamically price all the room categories up to a year in advance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the different modules of the core dynamic pricing algorithm
- Proactively bring the best-in-class ideas from research literature and deploy them in the production environment
- Analyze and troubleshoot the performance of the pricing algorithm
- Coordinate the pricing initiatives for the various hotels with the Revenue Managers who are responsible for the overall performance of these assets
- Perform ad-hoc analyses that help in understanding the effectiveness of pricing strategies on other business functions
- Coordinate and communicate the Pricing strategy and analyses with the different business stakeholders
Qualifications Skills & Experience
- Experience with statistical modeling
- Experience with experimentation techniques like A/B testing
- Experience with scripting and programming languages eg. Python
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment
- You have Masters or PhD degree in engineering or quantitative field
- You have 3+ years of experience in working in a goal-oriented data science environment
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity
- Excellent communication skills
