Lead the design and optimization of AI‑driven data models for predictive analytics, machine learning, and intelligent automation across grid reliability, maintenance, wildfire risk, and customer insights.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable data models that serve AI/ML workloads such as predictive maintenance, wildfire risk assessment, and customer analytics.
- Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and domain experts to translate business requirements into robust, query‑optimized schemas.
- Define data governance, lineage, and quality standards to ensure reliable, secure, and compliant data pipelines.
- Evaluate and integrate cloud services (e.g., AWS Redshift, S3, Glue) and big‑data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark) to support high‑performance analytics.
- Mentor junior team members and drive best‑practice adoption for data modeling, feature engineering, and model deployment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing data models for AI/ML and analytics platforms.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data‑modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, dbt).
- Hands‑on experience with cloud data warehouses and big‑data technologies such as AWS, Redshift, S3, and Spark.
- Strong understanding of machine‑learning pipelines, feature stores, and data governance principles.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to cross‑functional stakeholders.
