About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain fraud detection models using Python and SQL, improving detection accuracy and reducing false positives.
- Analyze large volumes of card transaction data to identify emerging fraud patterns and trends.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate model outputs into real‑time monitoring systems.
- Perform feature engineering, model validation, and performance monitoring to ensure robust solutions.
- Document methodologies, model assumptions, and results for internal stakeholders and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data science or analytics, preferably in financial services or fraud detection.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, XGBoost) and SQL for data manipulation and model deployment.
- Strong statistical background and experience with supervised/unsupervised learning techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and model deployment pipelines is a plus.
