Senior data scientist driving translational research through advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling on biomedical datasets using Python, SQL, and biostatistics techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy predictive models and analytical pipelines to support translational research initiatives.
- Collaborate with biomedical scientists to translate research questions into data‑driven solutions and actionable insights.
- Perform rigorous statistical analyses, including hypothesis testing, survival analysis, and multivariate modeling.
- Maintain and optimize data infrastructure, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate findings through clear visualizations, reports, and presentations to cross‑functional teams.
Requirements
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Statistics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience applying machine learning and statistical methods to biomedical or life‑science data.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, statsmodels) and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of biostatistics concepts and experience with survival analysis, mixed models, or similar techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights.
