Hands‑on Data Scientist II collaborating with product and engineering to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that optimize transportation operations using Python, SQL, and cloud services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers and engineers to define data‑driven solutions that improve logistics efficiency.
- Design, build, and productionize machine learning and AI models using Python and relevant libraries.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and feature stores on AWS to support scalable model training and inference.
- Perform exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, and visualizations to uncover insights and guide decision‑making.
- Monitor model performance in production, conduct A/B tests, and iterate to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience applying machine learning techniques to real‑world problems.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and common ML frameworks (e.g., scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (S3, EC2, SageMaker, Lambda).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across cross‑functional teams.
