About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and transform large healthcare and human‑services datasets to prepare them for analysis.
- Develop and validate predictive and classification models using machine‑learning algorithms to identify utilization patterns, fraud risk, and quality metrics.
- Create clear visualizations and dashboards that translate complex analytical results into actionable recommendations for program managers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including clinicians, policy analysts, and engineers—to define analytical requirements and ensure model alignment with business objectives.
- Document methodology, code, and findings following reproducible research standards and contribute to the organization’s data‑science knowledge base.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related quantitative field.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, matplotlib/seaborn) and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Solid understanding of statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and machine‑learning concepts.
- Experience creating data visualizations and dashboards for non‑technical audiences.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
